Dice Cups? Dice Cups.

Description

So you've got this player, we'll call him "Dave", who though he is an absolute treasure, seems to have some sort of spasm issue when rolling dice, because he continously launches them from your table.

Enter the Dice Cup.

Not only do these help prevent 4 sided dice from turning into caltrops, they also help keep your dice together while they're on the table.

These were exceedingly tricky to make, as they were made as they were made with heavy cardboard tubing (like what you'd use to ship posters and the like). Not only is this hard to cut because of the shape, but turns out thick paper is one of the hardest substances to cut and keep a sharp blade. I'll be honest, I used a dremel tool to cut these down (incorrectly), If you do have a safe and effective method to cut them, I suggest doing it outside, you're going to have a large mess and the smell of burning paper to conted with.

Outside of that, fabric for the outside was easy to find, as was a light layer of cork for the bottom, and a flat piece of cardboard. Hot Glue it all together, and you've got a reason to not say "Damn it, Dave!" every game night.

Materials:
Heavy Cardboard Tubing (3 inch Diameter)
Light sheet of Cork
Flat Cardboard Board
Decorative Fabric
Hot Glue

These look great. From my experience, if you can get someone in a machine shop to measure, mark and cut them with a saw (I believe it was a band saw) this works best. Safest and cleanest cut.
